Debunking the Classics: Is Ramayana Really Older than Mahabharata?

               Traditionally,  Ramayana  is considered older. But here's why some argue  Mahabharata  might be earlier: Panini's grammar mentions Mahabharata characters  like Arjuna and Yudhisthira, but not Ramayana characters. Mahabharata uses an older storytelling style  with phrases like "Arjuna said." Ramayana doesn't have this. Ramayana seems more polished and developed  compared to Mahabharata. Mahabharata shows a rougher society  with polyandry (one wife with multiple husbands), which isn't seen in Ramayana. Those who believe Ramayana is older point out: Mahabharata includes a story about Rama , but it's unclear if it came from Ramayana or an even older source. Harivamsa, a part of Mahabharata, mentions Ramayana . However, some say Harivamsa is a later addition. There's even a verse found in both epics, suggesting Ramayana might be older.
